Virginity Test, how would they do that?
Question by Cindy: Virginity Test, how would they do that?
JAKARTA (Reuters) – A plan to carry out virginity tests on female high school students in a district in Indonesia’s West Java province has been dropped after a public outcry, media reports said.
The head of Indramayu district, Irianto Syafiuddin, is reported to have made the proposal for virginity tests after a video showing two high school students having sex circulated via mobile phones.
“Because many people oppose it, we cancelled (the plan),” Syafiuddin was quoted as saying by online news service Detik.com.
Syafiuddin could not immediately be contacted, but according to media reports he will look for an alternative way to prevent students from engaging in pre-marital sex.
Students, parents and activists viewed the planned virginity tests on thousands of high school students in the district as a violation of human rights, the Jakarta Post said.
“We can’t accept this idea. It’s unfair as the porn video was just an isolated case,” a female student, Gita, was quoted as saying by the Post.
Many in Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim country, place high value on virginity, although pre-marital sex is not uncommon among the younger generation.

Will T-mobile ask for IMEI when I get the Even More Plus Plan?
Question by pinoy1226: Will T-mobile ask for IMEI when I get the Even More Plus Plan?
Ok so I bought a stolen phone from a guy. It’s a g1 btw. Their is nothing wrong with the phone it works fine and it’s pretty much fresh. As of right now I have a prepaid sim in it and I want to get the “even more plus plan”. My only fear is that when I go to the tmobile store they will want the IMEI and I’m guessing the person who originally had the phone reported the phone stolen or something like that maybe cancel the account or did a keep a lookout for this phone. But yeah anyways how would I approach this situation? Do I go to the store without the phone and say “hey my phone is at home but can I buy this plan and activate it” and they will give me the sim and all is done. But my main question I guess is will tmobile ask for the IMEI in order for the activation of the plan.

Gee, I don’t know if they’ll ask for it or not. But I sure hope they do.
I want to see the look on your face when they confiscate the phone.
Buying a knowingly stolen phone. Real nice.

Question by Hugo H: How to sign up the Second Life successfully ?

3. And I’ve chosen the “First Basic Account Free” only in “Select Membership Plan”
4. But in the section of Identication Information, I don’t what I have to choose for the Identication method, because I’m living in Malaysia and it’s not available for Mobile Phone and PayPal. I don’t know what should I do, so I chose nothing.
5. In the section of Terms of Service, should I click both of them or just first one ?
6. After that, I clicked “Submit”, then loggded in, but I could’t log in because It’s showing me “Wrong Password or username”. And I’m sure I filled with the right details but still could’t log in, What’s wrong with that?

i really don’t like “t-mobe” so i’m switching to verizon. BUT….
can i bring my number to verizon? AND if i do…will my t-mobile plan be completely
done, or will it some how be working still?
at this moment, i can still send texts, which is strange since i’m not “on the plan” anymore.

Once you are ‘off contract’, you revert to a month-to-month plan.
So, your phone will still work until you formally cancel.
You’ll just be billed under the terms of your old contract.
To port your number to Verizon, let Verizon do it when you sign for a Verizon contract.
Most companies will ask you if you are transferring an old number when you sign up and take care of it.
If you cancel with T-Mobil first, you’ll lose the number.

Q&A: Can I use my verizon cell on Tmobile? and who has the best prepaid?
Question by Sissy: Can I use my verizon cell on Tmobile? and who has the best prepaid?
I bought a verizon phone but i was very dissapointed with their “prepaid plan”. Can I use my verizon with tmobile or do I need to have it unlocked and how much does it normally cost to have it unlocked?
Also I know t mobile has a decent prepaid. It’s 10 cents a minute and txt are 10 cents as well. is there another service carrier that has a good prepaid plan?

Unfortunately, no you can’t. The Verizon phone uses CDMA technology, which requires an actual programming of the phone. T-Mobile uses GSM technology, which has a sim card that gives the phone its celluar information. The two phones are also constructed differently, thus making it nearly impossible use either phone on those networks. It is also illegal to unlock a CDMA phone to use with like networks. However, any phone GSM phone (Cingular, AT & T, T-Mobile) can be legally unlocked and used on other GSM networks. It usually costs around $ 25 bucks. I hope this helps!

Looks like they gave you the data package anyway. Your bill will say no texts, because its unlimited with the data package, so you dont pay twice for texting. The phone will not function right without the data package, so they put it on automatically when you buy the phone.

T-Mobile Flext 35 Help?
Question by looneytunez2: T-Mobile Flext 35 Help?
I have just changed my price T-Mobile price plan from
U-Fix 25 Text to Flext 35 £120 Allowance. I have phoned 150 to check my allowances and it says “There are no allowances on this price plan” I have also sent AL to 150 and got this message back ” You currently do not have any allowance left, Your unbilled balance on 05/03/08 is £0.00 (ex VAT and any unprocessed charges) ”
Can someone please explain this to me and how it works? As I have never been on this before and I am scared of running up a huge phone bill.

Answer by Sprout
If you are getting messages saying you have no allowence is because either;
a. You have no allowence left.
b. It is your billing date today (date when your bill is printed and new allowences are added to your account), as such there is a delay in allowences showing on your account.
Flext accounts are great, it means rather than paying £35 for so many texts and so many minutes you get a flexible allowence to use on either calls or text messages, in your case you’re on a 12 month contract so only get the £120 to spend on calls and texts, that is calls at 20p, texts at 10p, picture messages at 20p and voicemail at 12p.
As long as you only call or text UK landlines and mobile phones up to the amount of £120 you don’t need to worry about running up huge bills.
If you do get these messages about no allowence then call customer service to make sure this is actually the issue and also to check to see if there are any system problems that may delay your allowence being applied to your account.
On your billing date your allowences can come on any time during the day (12am-12pm), any calls you make today should still come out of your allowence – if not then check your bills, they can credit you back any calls that should have been covered by your allowence.
If you want to avoid huge bills then the BEST thing to do is sign-up to My T-mobile, T-mobile recomends it’s staff recomend all customers sign-up for this service. I particularly used to recomend this to customers new to Flext plans, they are brilliant plans but if not used to these sort of plans some people do get confused so My T-mobile is good because it gives them a more visual idea of what is going on with their new price plan.
If you go to the T-mobile web site you will see on the right-hand site a little log-in area for My T-mobile, that is what you need to sign up to. Go here – http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/service/your-account/signup – once you are signed-up to My T-mobile you just need to log-in every now and then when you are online, this will help you in a few ways;
– It will show you your allowences as well as any charges you currently have on your phone, better to understand than calling 150 because it gives you a visual idea of charges and allowences.
– You can view itemised bills online. If you pay for itemised bills then call up 150 to cancel itemisation, this will save you £1.50 per month, and save £2.50 if you ever need your bills re-printed.
– You can pay bills online, so you don’t have to wait on hold for all eternity. It also generally gives you a lot more options to help you manage your account.
You may want to think about setting up direct debit which will save you £3 per month off your bill as well as make sure your bills are paid on time which will give you better upgrades and better credit score with T-mobile and outside of T-mobile.
[God, I hate the fact this stuff is still stuck in my head after having ti drummed in there for so long! LOL]
Once you are used to Flext you may want to look to change to an 18 month contract as then you’ll have £180 allowence, which although it seems small I’ve seen it make a huge difference to customers bills.
If Flext is a problem for you then call up customer service for help (although I’d recomend going into stores for things like explaining contracts, customer service is better for account issues), you may also want to switch over to another price plan, you can’t move to a lower priced price plan for 11 months, but you will be able to move to something that might suit you better.

Need advice on upcoming cellphone contract ending/starting?
Question by GoodJuiceBox&Nap: Need advice on upcoming cellphone contract ending/starting?
Okay so I have been with Verizon since 07/05 according to vzw.com. They added months on my contract because I changed from Family Plan “x” to Family Plan “y” so w/e it finally ends this September 26!
I am going to go with T-Mobile this time just because of its high rates/cust. service but I wanted to get the 1 year plan (and i know it will be more expensive for upfront fees) but if i have to ill get the 2 year plan, If i was to purchase an unlocked phone off ebay or something, or if i was to purchase an actual T-Mobile phone off ebay, would I be able to just activate it with a new T-Mobile contract? or do I have to purchase thier phone with the service?
I just dont want to waste too much money but I dont want to stay with bad service (in case it is) for 2 years.
Also I live in texas, and with my verizon bill my plan is a Family Plan and its the 69.99 plan with just 2 lines and my bill comes out to like 90.00 each month, does verizon charge more surcharges than T-Mobile?
I am gonna probably get Family Times and not MyFave 5 exactly becasue of what you mentioned, its the same gimmick with Cingulars Unity line feature… but I just simply wanted good service at a good price.

Answer by papageno19
You will be sorely disappointed going from Verizon to T-Mobile. T-mobile uses an older GSM technology that is less reliable than Verizon’s CDMA technology. Note that if you get the Fave 5 plan with T-mobile you will not get unlimited mobile to mobile. T-mobile also extends your contract by a year when changing plans (not sure if it adds a year from the service end date or the date of plan change. the store i work for just started carrying T Mobile). Verizon adds a year from the date you change it. Most companies have a policy like this and Verizon is the best company as far as coverage and customer service so if you leave them you will find the grass is not greener on the other side. T Mobile has horrible coverage compared to Verizon.
I’m not flaming T Mobile because I had them before when I lived in a more urban area than i do now and it worked ok but now that I have Verizon i’ll never go back. With T Mobile the less bars you have the more chances of your call dropping. I’ve made calls that lasted over an hour with Verizon where I had just one bar and if i didnt look at the phones display i never would have guessed I only had one bar. I live out in the middle of nowhere now so it makes a difference I would have no service here with T Mobile.
As with all things you get what you pay for. T Mobile is cheaper because you’re using an outdated technology. If you are going to go GSM get AT&T, because they have plans to upgrade their network technology in the fairly near future.
