call the service company for inquiries. Theyll give more accurate information than the people on here.

You might. It depends on the phone model. Virgin Mobile phones are some of the toughest phones in the busines to flash/unlock (reprogram) for other networks. Cricket is one of the few networks which will allow you to bring other phones like VM over. But if it is a newer VM phone, you might find a hard time finding a flasher to do it.
Check Craigslist and look for a Cricket flasher/dealer to see if they can do it. But make sure 1) That it is NOT a Cricket Trimode market you are intending to use this phone. Old Cricket areas can use flashed phones but new Cricket Trimode areas can ONLY use the newest trimode phones. Even ORIGINAL older Cricket phones can’t be used in their own Trimode areas. No flashed phones can. EXCEPT, the VM Jax, which is a the ONLY trimode model in Virgin’s lineup. And that’s such a new model, it may be hard to flash/unlock.

2)If they can do a flash/unlock. Ask if they can do a FULL FLASH. That means that you get everything working on Cricket that you had on Virgin Mobile, or at least most of it. Sometimes the other company just doesn’t support the features the other company did (like Virgin XL).
Full flash theoretically gives you talk/text/internet and mms. A lot of times mms doesn’t work, even with a successful full flash. Then there are basic flashes which are cheaper but only give you talk/text.

3)Make sure your flasher is ALSO a dealer. Even if your phone is successfully reprogrammed, it is USELESS if the flasher can’t get it on the Cricket network. If the guy does both, he has a lot more incentive to give you a good overall package then if he is just a flasher. A lot of times, dealers won’t put independently flashed phones on for you. They have even been known for trying to charge you AGAIN for the flash, even though it’s ALREADY been done (I had that happen to someone I know. )

Anyway, what you want is possible. It just might take some work.
