Question by rebecca 93: Pandora for blackberry?
I have a blackberry curve 8520 from t-mobile. I want to download Pandora but when i open the app it says “This product will use a large amount of data and ou are responsible for all data charges. Please contact your carrier’s customer service to comfirm/add an unlimited data plan.”
Does this mean that I will be charged for using pandora? I thought it was free. My parents will kill me if I buy anything on the phone so I wanted to double check. Is pandora for blackberry free?

The app is free.
The warning means just what it says. Pandora uses a lot of data so if you don’t have an unlimited data plan you will be charged for the data usage.

Question by reezy: blackberry curve 8520 problems?
so i got the blackberry curve 8520 for my birthday and wont to go lookout mobile security and other apps. i don’t have a data plan so i just wont to use wifi or ill download to my desktop and than usb it to my phone, how do i do this ! i shouldn’t be that hard, its frustrating me so so so so so so much. can any one give me a hand and don’t bother posting ” you cant use apps with out a data plan ” because im pretty sure i don’t need to use the data plan if im downloading to my desk top :L cheers
Okay so also when I conect my bb to the computer and go add remove apps and than search for apps it says ” no apps are avabible ” WTH I got the phone like two days ago its not like the OS is out of date ! Can some one help me please !!

Well I guess you being pretty sure would make you pretty wrong. Most apps that run on BB do in fact communicate in the background, so a data plan is necessary. The only thing I could suggest is once its downloaded to your PC, open desktop manager, and use the app loader to get it from your PC to your phone.

Question by David Carter: What does Unlimtied Rim Blackberry Mean?(T-Mobile)?
Ok i just got the black berry 8900 with t-mobile and when i was looking at my plan on tzones it says in my plan “unlimited rim blackberry” what does this mean? and just to let you know when i got the phone i did not get the internet with the phone i didnt care about it but when i use the browser i can surf the web? whats this about?

also when i look at my bill sumery in tzones it says 0 picture messages used i have unlimited text(family) and i have sent like 10 pics and recived like 10 is this a flaw or what? email me at djrcarter@gmail.com to if i cant not get on the web.

Answer by Randy
Looks like they gave you the data package anyway. Your bill will say no texts, because its unlimited with the data package, so you dont pay twice for texting. The phone will not function right without the data package, so they put it on automatically when you buy the phone.

Question by Meagan S: unlocked blackberry curve 8520 work with boost mobile?
I have a T-Mobile unlocked Blackberry Curve 8520. T-Mobile’s “Flexpay” (aka prepaid) is what I previously had. I want to switch to Boost’s Blackberry Unlimited plan because it offers a lot more for a lower cost.

My question is – will a Boost Mobile “blackberry unlimited plan” SIM card work in this newer blackberry if it’s unlocked? I would hate to buy one without knowing because I doubt I’d be able to return it to the store if it didn’t. I would really appreciate your help! I’m without a phone right now and needing to know the answer to this so tomm I can have a phone again!

Question by Phil: I would like to upgrade to a T-mobile Blackberry from my current flip phone…?
Do I need to alter any details of my service plan, or can I just buy a handset, insert the old SIM card, and be ready to roll? I have heard that I might need something called a “data plan”? Thanks in advance for any insights. :) Peace!

Answer by Jonathan
You have the ability to upgrade your line at any time. You can simply take your SIM card and use it in the other phone.

If you are going to use a Blackberry, it’s considered a smartphone, therefore, when the phone is used on the account, T-Mobile will automatically add a /month data package onto your account. This will apply with any smartphone (Blackberry, HD2, etc.). The data package basically is the internet – since the Blackberry uses the internet data to access email, it’s required.

Can I keep my T-Mobile Blackberry plan and use a 3G phone?

I’m thinking about upgrading my current blackberry to a 3G phone, because I want a phone that can go to websites that my current Blackberry can’t. My current plan has unlimited text and data, but the blackberry runs on the EDGE network only.

Would I be able to keep the same plan and use a 3G phone? Or will I have to switch things around?

I saw the iphone g3 today and this thing is awesome. I need a GPS and an MP3 player anyway, so i’m getting it.

But first…i’d like to know if any phones, like blackberry, provide worthy competition. And how are they better/worse than the iphone g3?
