Question by Sissy: Can I use my verizon cell on Tmobile? and who has the best prepaid?
I bought a verizon phone but i was very dissapointed with their “prepaid plan”. Can I use my verizon with tmobile or do I need to have it unlocked and how much does it normally cost to have it unlocked?

Also I know t mobile has a decent prepaid. It’s 10 cents a minute and txt are 10 cents as well. is there another service carrier that has a good prepaid plan?

Unfortunately, no you can’t. The Verizon phone uses CDMA technology, which requires an actual programming of the phone. T-Mobile uses GSM technology, which has a sim card that gives the phone its celluar information. The two phones are also constructed differently, thus making it nearly impossible use either phone on those networks. It is also illegal to unlock a CDMA phone to use with like networks. However, any phone GSM phone (Cingular, AT & T, T-Mobile) can be legally unlocked and used on other GSM networks. It usually costs around $ 25 bucks. I hope this helps!

Question by halfwaygone09: go back on my parents cell plan or keep my prepaid?
ok so we have no hosue phone…so on a prepaid altel i pay a dollar a day for unlimited text.. altel to altel…and after 9 nites and weekends. with other calls it amounts to about 35-40 a month now. I have the cheap 25 dollar phone with no camera just basic and thats ok with me i never did pic messages when i had a camera phone anyway jsut took em and kept em on there for show not send

My parents plan: *family plan” ( free after 7pm nites and weekends….can get unlimited texting and web is a bonus with that….still have altel to altel and a bonus few numbers cause of the ten number thing.
since my mother is getting herself a new phone she will GIVE me her old one…meaning i dont have to pay for it or the fee to the activation fee and its a nice scoop keyboard phone–in my fav color orange none the less! — Bill— $ 20 for text $ 15 for my line plus tax (my lil sister pays bout 5.25 for tax with her’s and she has the exact same planning) so round 40-45 a month

with it being free after 7 wont really use any of the plan minutes and as long as i lock my phone and dont over use minutes or anything my parents dont care what i do with it…. btw have a job to pay my prepaid and will continue paying my part on my parnets line…

This is a great idea cause Im going to the military after graduate high school in may..they will freeze my phone till i get outa boot camp. i could switch my line over to my name ..plan to also take my grandmothers on my line and pay for hers cause i want to get her web acess for a laptop.

any suggestions …think its worth it?

Question by hh: is it possible for prepaid phones to have internet access, unlimited texting, and unlimited calling?
I want to buy the Samsung Magnet – GoPhone® – Prepaid – Refurbished (prepaid because I’m underage and my parents won’t get me a normal cell phone). I checked the plan for “Plan: $ 60 Unlimited Talk and Text Feature Package on the Simple Rate Plan”. Is that possible for a prepaid phone? If so what’s the prepaid part about it and what’s so different about it and a normal phone?
Also I’m guessing it doesn’t need a contract if it’s a prepaid but why doesn’t it have a contract if it has all those features like a regular phone?

Can you use a samsung phone with a prepaid plan such as virgin mobile?

I have heard myths and lore of people doing this. But is their anyway that you can get the awesome $1 a day for prepaid rate for unlimited texts with t-mobile prepaid on a phone that isn’t a sidekick. Some people have said things about switching sim cards and the like. but does anyone know how this can be done

Well I just broke my phone and I’m on a 2 year contract with T-mobile. I was thinking of buying a T-Mobile Prepaid phone and wondering if my normal sim will work with a T-Mobile Prepaid phone.

I currently am using a T-mobile prepaid phone. If I want to switch to something like the iphone or Droid, can I keep my number? My concern is that prepaid phones numbers are somehow different than month to month numbers.
